James Cameron expected to lose out on Best Film and Best Director Oscars

James Cameron’s ground-breaking Avatar looks set to win the most awards at this year’s Oscars, but the director may miss out on the two biggest gongs of the night, with ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow’s ‘The Hurt Locker’ favourite to win the Best Film Award, and Bigelow expected to pick up Best Director for the same film.

Avatar is 4/7 to win more Oscars than The Hurt Locker at WilliamHill, but Bigelow’s picture is 8/11 to win Best Film, and the 58-year-old is just 2/7 to win Best Director.
