Sky Bet are offering odds on every element of the royal wedding, with betting available on everything from the colour of the Queen’s hat, to the time of Kate’s arrival at Westminster Abbey to the chances of a streaker interrupting the ceremony (100/1).
If the money is to be believed, the Queen will wear a hat of a pale yellow/orange hue on Friday, with yellow (5/4) and peach/apricot (6/1) attracting around 75% of the stakes on this market.
‘Waity Katie’ is being backed to keep Prince William waiting for no more than a couple of minutes: it’s 6/4 that she arrives promptly at Westminster Abbey between 11:00 and 11:03.
It’s now a long shot that Kate vows to obey William as comments from the Archbishop of Canterbury have sparked a gamble on her omitting ‘obey’ from her vows and she is now 1/20 to do so.
Amid forecasts of heavy showers on the big day, Sky Bet have also slashed the odds of it raining at Westminster Abbey when Kate arrives to 6/4 from 4/1.
