Bookmaker William Hill are expecting a great 2012 for Hollywood actress Meryl Streep.
William Hill predict Streep will clean up at both the Oscars and the Golden Globes following her extraordinary portrayal of Lady Thatcher. She is 4/7 to win the Best Actress Golden Globe, 1/1 to win the Best Actress Oscar and 11/8 to do the double.
Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams told Bettingpro.com: “Meryl Streep is a fantastic actress and by all accounts her performance as Lady Thatcher is extraordinary.”
George Clooney is favourite for both the Globe (1/2) and the Oscar (10/11) for his performance in ‘The Descendents’, which is 5/6 to win the Best Drama Golden Globe.
