Actor gaining in popularity with the public

Gary Lucy has been backed in to 6/1 from 7/1 at Coral to win this year’s Dancing on Ice competition on ITV1.

The Bill actor was the favourite when the show first started, but after appearing in an early skate-off, seemed to have lost favour with the public.

However, recent good showings have seen the former Hollyoaks star regain his popularity, and he is now closing in on both Mikey Graham (9/2) and Daniella Westbrook (5/1) in the current winner betting, although Hayley Tamaddon is still runaway favourite at 4/7.

Coral spokesman Gary Burton told Bettingpro:

"Gary Lucy was the original favourite when the first prices were issued and was unlucky to finish in the bottom two, his scores are good, and if Hayley has peaked too early, he could be the one to take advantage."
