The Eurozone may well be in turmoil but the Eurovision Song Contest seems to be going from strength to strength with William Hill able to report record early turnover for the competition.
The trailblazer has been Sweden who have been backed in from an original 12/1 to 7/4 favourites but by far the biggest loser for
William Hill is UK entrant Engelbert Humperdinck who is now 10/1 from an original 14/1.
Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams told Bettingpro.com: “The Eurovision Song Contest continues to defy its critics and we are confident that 2012 will produce a record turnover. The Hump would be a horror result and we are keen to sidestep Sweden.”
Jedward are no longer seen as genuine contenders and Hills are 25/1 that they come good.
