There wasn’t a dry eye in the house on Sunday night as ex-Eastender Todd Carty skidded off the rink in what has been deemed his best and funniest performance to date on Dancing On Ice.

Although Todd received the lowest score of 9.5, viewers opted to keep him in the competition for yet another week and now bookies Paddy Power are worried that Carty could be this year’s John Sergeant and last much longer than he should on the hit reality show.

It’s odds-on at 10/11 that Todd stays in the competition up until Sunday 1st March and could even make it as far as the Semi-Final, while it’s a cautious enough 16/1 that he gets to keep his skates on all the way to the Final!

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “When it comes to Dancing On Ice, it’s personalities that count. Todd is not afraid to let himself go…literally, and he really looks like he’s enjoying himself despite coming close to killing himself! He’s Dancing On Ice’s John Sergeant and there’s just no telling how far he might go!”

Paddy Power are also offering betting on whether or not clumsy Carty will take a tumble this Sunday. The odds look shaky for Todd with the cheeky bookie offering just 1/3 that he looses his footing and falls on the ice this Sunday.

Forty-five year old Todd received the lowest score two weeks ago when the judges gave him a shocking 7.5 but this week Paddy Power are hoping the judges take his comic value into account and are offering 4/1 on the judges giving him a generous 14 points or more this weekend.

Although most eyes will be on Todd this Sunday, it’s former X factor runner-up Ray Quinn who remains the red-hot favourite at 2/5 to win the whole series. A Carty victory looks unlikely at 20/1 but shouldn't be ruled out altogether!
