X Factor 2011 winners Little Mix are 15/8 to top the charts this Christmas but the Military Wives Choir are still the odds-on favourites.
Paddy Power has cut the odds on this year’s X Factor winners Little Mix topping the charts this Christmas from 9/4 to 15/8.
Although they face stiff competition in the UK charts from the Military Wives Choir and their song ‘Wherever You Are’ at 4/6, Paddy Power are confident that the group can pull off the top chart position on Sunday 25th December!
The girls are also looking a safe bet to top the charts in Ireland with Paddy Power making them their 10/11 hot favourites to see off Xmas hopefuls like Damo and Ivor at 2/1 and the #twitterXmasSingle at 3/1.
As well as eyeing the singles charts this Christmas, Little Mix will be looking forward to a bright future and already Paddy Power are taking bets on how many Number 1 singles they’ll have in 2012. Surprisingly it’s 1/5 that they’ll only have one Number 1 next year, 8/1 they’ll have two and 5/1 they’ll fail to top the charts completely!
However as former X Factor runner-ups JLS have proved, you don’t have to win the show to enjoy huge success. With this in mind Paddy Power are speculating on just how many of this years finalists will bag a Number 1. It’s 6/5 that just one of the finalists tops the charts, 6/4 that two acts gets the Number 1 spot and 5/1 that all three finalists enjoy chart topping success in 2012.
Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power told Bettingpro:
"Fair play to Little Mix. They defied all the odds by not only becoming the first band to win X Factor but by becoming the first female band and we're sure they'll have plenty of success."
