There are 100 days until Christmas and popular bookmaker Paddy Power has opened its Christmas 2011 betting markets, including Christmas No.1 and White Christmas.
We haven't even got past Halloween but already the bookies are counting the days to Christmas. With exactly one hundred days left from tomorrow until Christmas Day,
Paddy Power have come up with some cracking Christmas specials to get everyone in the festive mood!
After last year’s cold front, snow betting is top of their list with odds of just 7/2 that Dublin will wake up to a winter wonderland on Christmas Day.
Paddy Power are also taking bets on which Irish store will launch their Christmas window displays first. Brown Thomas is the 11/10 favourite to don their windows with tinsel first followed by Dublin's longest serving retailer Clerys on O'Connell Street at 5/4 and Dublin's oldest department store Arnotts at 7/2.
Punters can also have a bet on who will top the Christmas charts, with the unknown X Factor winner heavily tipped at 2/7, and which soap will receive the most viewers on Christmas Day. And if that isn’t enough to tickle your fancy Paddy Power are also offering betting on which famous faces will fall head over heels this festive season.
In the Irish bachelor stakes Colin Farrell is 3/1 to take himself off the market while former Miss World Rosanna Davison and her long term beau Wesley Quirke are 10/11 to get engaged!
Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power told Bettingpro:
“It’s hard to believe there are just 100 days left until Christmas Day. Just like shopping our punters like to get in early and get the best prices!”
