Paddy Power have made American actor and stuntman Verne Troyer their 6/1 favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother when it returns to our screens in January. Standing at just 2ft 8in, Verne is most noted for his role as Mini-Me in the Austin Powers movies. 

Former gunners striker Ian Wright at 8/1, US Rapper Coolio at 10/1, buxom Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson at 10/1 and fallen songstress Whitney Houston at 16/1 are just some of the other celebrity names tipped to be entering the Big Brother house on January 2nd.

With X Factor now over and Strictly Come Dancing approaching its final week punters have already turned their attention to the next big reality TV show. Paddy Power are anticipating that near £500,000 will be bet on the series over the three weeks extinguishing any fears that the channel 4 show may have run its course.

The bookies have even chalked up odds on how many peak viewers will tune in for the launch night. It’s 9/4 that between 7 and 8 million watch the Celebrity Big Brother premiere and 5/1 that viewing figures top the 9 million mark!

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power explains: “We thought our punters would be sick of reality TV by now after X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing but the conclusion of the two shows seems to be having the opposite effect – they’ve been going crazy wanting odds on different celebrities to win the sixth series of Celeb’ Big Brother. They know the earlier they bet, chances are they’ll get better odds!”
