Comedy value may keep Davro in competition

This week it’s the mens turn to face the chop in ITV’s Dancing On Ice, and Betfred think that there could be a shock in store, with the firm, offering prices of 9/4 that Bobby Davro is the first man to leave the show.

PaddyPower go as low as 11/8 that the comedian, who has looked uncomfortable, and admitted that he struggles on the ice, falls at the first hurdle, but Betfred believe that the public may choose to save Davro, on the basis that he will provide a few laughs in the upcoming shows.

The firm go 5/2 that it is, instead, GMTV’s Dr Hilary Jones that is the first to get the boot, and  Betfred spokesman Jon Wilde told bettingpro:

"Both these two have reportedly been poor in practice but Todd Carty has previously proved that comedy value and being popular can get you through the early rounds of this competition,"

Former Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy has reportedly impressed in practice, and Betfred make the actor 11/8 to be the top male, or 11/4 to win the competition overall, although he may be run close by Hayley Tamaddon, who impressed last week, and is 5/2 favourite.
