Following the success of the Victor Chandler 60th Anniversary celebrations at Walthamstow last year the bookmaker has agreed with Walthamstow Stadium and Sky Sports to move their prestigious VC Bet Grand Prix sponsorship to Tuesday 4th September from its traditional Saturday evening position. The evening will be broadcast live on Sky Sports from 7.30pm to 10pm.

Victor Chandler will be subsidising free entrance for all and a crowd approaching 5,000 is expected.  Victor Chandler will also be providing a free drink for all spectators on the evening.  In addition the company will be entertaining 300 VIPs in the various suites and executive boxes available at Walthamstow.

The VC Bet Grand Prix Gala Evening is one of the highlights of the Greyhound racing calendar.  This year will see total prize money on the night approaching £30,000.  There are two invitations planned for the evening, both with a value of £3,000, to be run over 475m and 835m.  A Puppy and Standard competition final, with heats taking place the week before will also feature on the evening.
