Eye Onthe Storm the pick of tonight's high-class Sky Sports televised card

Charlie Lister is hot favourite to be crowned overall champion after tonight's Betfair Trainers Championship but there is plenty of value to be had in individual race betting at Doncaster.

FARLEY BLITZ (11/10 William Hill) is a worthy hot favourite here on the back of last month's track record-breaking effort at Monmore and a couple of impressive trials over this course and distance. Ballymac Rumble did lower his colours last time out but the selection suffered all sorts of trouble in running that day and is well enough drawn in T2 to gain revenge here.

Jimmy Lollie, the 2009 Sprinter of the Year, is likely to start odds-on as he bids for a ninth win in his last 10 outings. That run includes two victories over 275m here at Doncaster but Seamus Cahill's charge did not trap as well as he can on either occasion and could be worth taking on in this tougher race. Officer Donagh has not been at his best this year but DIRECTORS WIT (5/1 Sky Bet) hasn't been out of the first two in six races since a winter break and put in a sparkling trial here recently.

Jordansoilutions looked a pup to follow late on last year but was disappointing on his first run since November when fourth here earlier this month and, although having put in some fast trial times over 483, he is a touch short for us. EYE ONTHE FLASH (7/2 William Hill) is also coming off a poor run at Sittingbourne but had previously smashed the clock at that venue and is value to reproduce that form from a perfect T1 pitch.

DROOPYS BELLETTI (Evens Betfred) fairly flew round over 438 in a trial last week, producing the quickest time of that session, and is an exciting recruit to six-bend racing for Charlie Lister. After hitting the front at halfway, he drew right away from some decent rivals to prevail by over five lengths in a fast 29.22 over 500m at Sheffield last time out and would soon be safely clear of these exposed sorts if in the same mood tonight.

Last year's Derby runner-up Fear Zafonic scrambled home here on his first outing since November a week ago but has a tricky T3 draw to contend with, as the speedy Glenroe Ginger will be moving right on the run to the turn from his T2 slot. Dalcash Scolari will also be cutting in from T4 so it may pay to side with the consistent GILBEYHALL JAKE (9/2 bet365), who has the all-round pace to capitalise on any bunching outside of his rails pitch.

BANDICOOT TIPOKI (11/10 totesport) was one of the top pups around last year, with competition wins at Monmore, Nottingham and Sheffield, and looks to have trained on well following a recent hat-trick. Having appeared a touch clumsy and green at times in 2009, Charlie Lister's charge has been much smoother so far this season and can prove a cut above these rivals, who are solid rather than spectacular.

Possibly the most open contest of the night but preference is for FARLOE ROCKET (3/1 Coral) to confirm the promise shown on his recent six-bend debut at Sheffield. The selection was always on the fringe of being top class over four bends, but did finish well to win a valuable Owlerton event where Bandicoot Tipoki was back in third. His 39.35 12 lengths success over 660m there suggested his future is bright in staying races and a subsequent defeat can be forgiven following a bad bump at the third bend.

21.45 Betfair Arcade Standard

EYE ONTHE STORM (6/5 Sky Bet) can show why he is ante-post favourite for this year's Greyhound Derby with victory from T3 in this high-class affair. Voted the best newcomer of 2009, his 14 first-season wins included the Caffreys Puppy Classic Final at Nottingham and the Betfred Eclipse at the same track. Two fast Sittingbourne triumphs in February showed all is well and he suffered a first-bend bump when third in the Racing Post Juvenile at Wimbledon. Tyrur Speedy went well on his debut for Charlie Lister here a couple of weeks ago but has to clear the selection at the turn from T4.
