There has been no shortage of drama and excitement during the first two days at the Reebok, none more so than Gary Anderson's sensational nine dart finish on Friday; one thing's for sure, plenty more twists and turns await this weekend.

Eight boards now become four, with four matches taking centre stage in front of the TV cameras on board one, starting with two European stars locking horns as Vincent van der Voort faces Kim Huybrechts in what promises to be a quick-fire thriller.

Van der Voort has made huge progress since bursting onto the PDC scene back in 2007; he reached the final of the UK Open and will be hoping similar success this time around.

His opponent is Belgium's Kim Huybrechts, arguably one of the game's best newcomers, tipped for big things in the future and a big threat this weekend.

Andy Hamilton takes on Raymond van Barneveld in a mouth-watering encounter between two of this season's Premier League wildcards.

Barney narrowly missed out on a place in finals night, whereas Hamilton stormed to the O2 courtesy of his third placed finish.

Five-time World Champion Barney saw off fellow Dutchman Jelle Klaasen with ease yesterday and will be looking to do damage on Saturday as he eyes a return to his brilliant best.

Hamilton is a consistent performer and will undoubtedly showcase his trademark grit and determined to offer a stern test for Barney, who cannot afford any slip ups against The Hammer.

Phil Taylor continues his bid for a fifth UK Open title when he takes on Colin Osborne in the penultimate game on board one.

The Power struggled against Roland Scholten in his opener but came good when it mattered and will be out to push on and stamp his authority as the man to beat this weekend.

Osborne started out in round two on opening night and has defeated John Henderson and Nigel Heydon to reach this stage; he made it to the final of this event in 2009, only to lose out to Taylor, so this tie offers 'Ozzy' the perfect opportunity for revenge.

Adrian Lewis faces a tough test in the final match of the round when he takes on Fleetwood ace Wes Newton, a man who finally broke through on the big stage last year by reaching his first final.

Both players cruise through their third round matches 9-1 on the outer boards and will be hoping to mount a serious title challenge by getting through this one and into the hat for the last 16.

Elsewhere on the outer boards, Colin Lloyd, conqueror of reigning champion James Wade yesterday takes on youth ace Joe Cullen, while nine dart hero Gary Anderson faces fellow Scotsman Robert Thornton in a potential classic.

Paul Nicholson will be hoping to continue his love affair with this event by seeing off dark horse Arron Monk (who defeated Kevin Painter yesterday), as Terry Jenkins comes up against PDC newcomer Dean Winstanley.

Simon Whitlock faces Justin Pipe in a gripping tie featuring two on-form players on board three, as Michael van Gerwen takes on Mervyn King in an explosive battle on board four.

All matches on board one will be streamed live over the best of 17 legs from the Reebok Stadium, Bolton.

The draw for the last 16 will be conducted on stage following the final third round match of the night and will see the surviving players thrust into the open draw format where any tie is possible.
