Sky Bet are offering exclusive new darts betting markets on the UK Open Order of Merit and the Players’ Championship Order of Merit.

Due to Phil Taylor’s dominance of the Players’ Championship, Sky Bet are betting without ‘The Power’ and make Raymond van Barneveld 5/2 favourite, followed by James Wade (11/4) , who came second to Taylor in 2008. Taylor heads the betting for the UK Open Order of Merit 15/8.

Sky Bet’s darts compiler, Craig Ibbotson, said, “Taylor looks a certainty for the Players’ Championship and therefore we are betting without him. However, the UK Open Order of Merit is a much more open betting heat with Taylor only attending a handful of the eight qualifying tournaments, allowing other players the opportunity to head the table. “

The first of the ranking events for both lists take place at the Doncaster Dome at the weekend and with Taylor, Barneveld and Wade all absent, the tournaments promise to be an interesting betting heat. Sky Bet make Robert Thornton 11/2 favourite to win the Bobby Bourn Memorial Players Championship and Adrian Lewis is Sky Bet’s 8/1 favourite to win the UK Open North-East Regional Final.

Sky Bet are also betting on which player will get their maiden win in a major televised ranking event first and make Robert Thornton 3/1 favourite.
