Premier League Darts Aberdeen Match previews Visit William Hill Save For Later Posted by Luke Williams 23 Apr 2009 Tweet Related Articles See all Darts news Share it Pin It A preview of tonight's Premier League Darts action from Aberdeen The Premier League Darts roadshow is in its 12th week and it is the turn of Aberdeen to host this prestigious event. The highlight of week 12 is the all-Dutch match between the young pretender Jelle Klaasen and five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld. But the big story this week is the withdrawal of Wayne Mardle through illness. This means that for the remaining weeks the evenings will start with a friendly match. James Wade was due to face Wayne Mardle in Aberdeen so he now faces world number 19 Robert Thornton. James Wade v Robert ThorntonJames 'The Machine' Wade tops the table and he was imperious in spells against the world number one Phil Taylor last week before eventually drawing with 'The Power'. But it will be interesting to see how Wade copes here knowing that the pressure is off as he is playing for pride only. While Robert Thornton will be hoping to put in a big performance to show Barry Hearn and his PDC colleagues what he is all about and how he would perform in front of the passionate Premier League crowds. Thornton is arguably a tougher opponent than Mardle would have been for Wade. 'The Machine' is still the favourite at 5/6 to win the match with Thornton the outsider at 8/5 and the draw a 5/1 shot at William Hill. Every week William Hill offer a fantastic value enhanced odds accumulator on Premier League Darts. This week it features just the three favourites in the official Premier League matches. You can back this great treble at 21/10. Terry Jenkins v Mervyn KingThe first official Premier League match of the evening is bottom-of-the-table Terry Jenkins against third-placed Mervyn King. Jenkins was the big loser with Mardle's withdrawal as he now sits bottom with just one victory. 'The Bull's solitary win came against King in Brighton and he is priced at 15/8 to do the double over King in Aberdeen. 'The King' is without a win in two weeks but his last win came against James Wade to underline his ability. For this reason King is the 4/5 favourite and he is the first selection in the treble. Jelle Klaasen v Raymond van BarneveldThe all-Dutch affair in Aberdeen between Jelle Klaasen and Raymond van Barneveld promises to be the match of the evening. Klaasen struggled in the early weeks of the Premier League, whether that was down to nerves in his first Premier League campaign is up for debate. But one thing that is for sure is that he has been playing much better of late. 'Barney' beat his young compatriot in Brighton 8-3 in week seven. It should be much closer this time around though as 'The Matador' since then only narrowly lost to Phil Taylor plus he has had two draws. Nevertheless Van Barneveld is the second player in the acca, as favourite to win this week's encounter at odds of 4/9, with Klaasen priced at 10/3. John Part v Phil TaylorPhil Taylor was lucky to escape with a draw last week against James Wade but he should have no such problems this week against John Part as odds of 1/7 for a victory for 'The Power' show. The world number one beat Part 8-3 when they last met in Brighton and a similar scoreline should be within Taylor's reach at 5/1. John Part can't afford to lose if he is to have a realistic chance of making the play-offs but if Taylor is on form there will be little that the Canadian can do to stop him. As a result 'The Power' is the third and final selection in our enhanced treble.Get a free £25 bet with William Hill here Watch all the darts games streamed live online for free at bet365 > Sports > Live Streaming Read our William Hill review Get your £25 free bet at William Hill now Like Like Post to wall 185 Reads All Darts News Recent Darts Articles Players Championship Darts betting now available at SportingBet23 May 2012Darts fans can now bet on the winner of each Players Championship tour event at SportingBet.
