Stoke's two darting giants collide in week one of the event for a second year running and the Power will be out for revenge after losing twice to Jackpot last season.

His most notable defeat came in the play-offs at Wembley, where he was crushed 8-3.

Lewis successfully defended his world title at Alexandra Palace last month and is very much the man to beat at the moment. Taylor however will be looking to send out a message to the rest of the field with a win tonight.

The duo brought home the World Cup title last weekend but return to individual duties in front of an expectant crowd of over 7,000 to round off the evening's play.

Taylor has dominated the meetings between the two, with 35 wins from their 40 clashes, but Lewis's heavy scoring and swagger on the oche could pose a serious threat to Taylor.

The Power showed signs of weakness in Hamburg over the weekend though, losing three singles matches to lower opposition. Although his form drastically improved in the later stages, he will need to make a good start against his quick-fire opponent this evening.

The bookmakers still favour 15-time world champion Taylor, making him the 10/11 favourite for victory, as opposed to Lewis, who may offer value over the relatively short format at 15/8 with Bet365. The draw is a 4/1 chance.

Their latest encounter promises to be another tense one when it gets underway at 9.30pm on Thursday. It will be streamed live over the best of 14 legs from the Manchester Arena.
