Tony O'Shea is the new bookmakers favourite to win his first BDO world title after producing a sensational performance to beat Martin Adams 5-2 on Thursday evening.

Stockport thrower O'Shea, who was a 14/1 outsider at the start of the tournament, is now 13/8 favourite to scoop the prestigious Lakeside title.

Having previously seen off Steve West and Ross Montgomery dropping just one set, Silverback also made light work of three-time champion Adams, taking out the highest checkout of the tournament with a show-stopping 170 en route to a famous victory.

He faces Wesley Harms for a place in the final and should progress with relative ease should he continue his fine form.

Bad-boy Ted Hankey is 3/1 second favourite to take the title on Sunday. Hankey ended the hopes of Scott Waites and has a realistic chance of winning his third title.

He faces rank outsider Martin Atkins in his Quarter-Final match and should progress over the long format.

Dutchman Christian Kist has demonstrated heavy scoring power during the tournament so far; he shocked Jan Dekker in round one before beating Geert de Vos in another close match.

He is 4/1 to win a maiden title but faces a tricky path to the final, first facing Alan Norris in tonight's last eight match.

Norris has been placed as a 10/1 chance, with Atkins rank outsider at 20/1; both could provide each-way value.

The two remaining Quarter-Final matches will be played tonight, with the Semi's completed on Saturday and the tournament coming to a climax with Sunday's final.
