Multiple major winner James Wade takes on Dutch sensation Jelle Klaasen tonight for a place in the last 16 of the World Darts Championship.

The Machine has won almost every major honour in the PDC during his career so far, but is yet to add the biggest title of all - the World Championship.

The numerous top seeds that have exited the competition in his quarter of the draw mean he could go far in the event, but faces a tough test again rapid thrower Klaasen this evening.

Former Lakeside champion Klaasen stunned Peter Wright in round one and looked to be back to his best on the big stage.

He, along with Wade, is capable of top scoring as well as high finishing, which should make for a superb contest tonight.

The bookmakers make Wade the favourite; He is priced at 2/11 with title sponsors Ladbrokes, as opposed to Klaasen, who may offer value at 5/1.

It's been over a year since the duo last met in major competition, with Wade taking a 6-1 victory in a Players Championship event in September 2010.

Their latest meeting gets underway at 8.30pm tonight and will be streamed live over the best of seven sets from the Alexandra Palace, London.
