Reigning world champion Adrian Lewis faces multiple major winner James Wade on Sunday evening for a place in darts' showcase event - the World Championship final.

Stoke ace Lewis looks to edge one step closer to retaining his world title by reaching the final, but faces a tough test against left-hander Wade, who produced the performance of his life to beat John Part in the last round.

Lewis, who is the new tournament favourite at 13/8, survived a scare in round one but has since produced a series of fine displays, emphasising his world champion calibre.

Wade also struggled in the early rounds but justified his Semi-Final place with whitewashes of Jelle Klaasen and Steve Farmer en route.

He was involved in one the the tournament's greatest ever encounters on Friday, when he defeated John Part with an 85 checkout in a sudden death shootout.

The duo are regarded as two of the sport's top young talents and are likely to provide a highly entertaining clash on Sunday night if both bring their 'A' game.

The bookmakers narrowly favour Lewis to reach the final, he priced at 4/5, with The Machine offering value as the 6/5 outsider with Ladbrokes.

The pair have met in numerous major PDC events, the most recent of which the 2011 World Matchplay Semi-Final, in a game which saw Wade prevail 17-10.

Their latest encounter promises to be another tense one when it gets underway at 9.15pm on Sunday. It will be streamed live over the best of 11 sets from the Alexandra Palace, London.
