Darts' second World Championship gets underway at the traditional Lakeside venue on January 7 as 32 players battle it out for the prestigious title.

Martin Adams is the defending champion and is favourite to make it world title number four this year.
He is likely to face stiff competition from the likes of Scott Waites, Ted Hankey and Dean Winstanley though.
The tournament, which offers £100,000 to the winner, begins on January 7, running through until January 15 when the final will take place.
