Adrian Lewis is the 2012 World Darts champion, with bet365 reporting a hammering from Jackpot backers
Victory for Stoke on Trent’s Adrian Lewis was bad news for Stoke based bet365.
bet365 spokesman Steve Freeth told Bettingpro: “There was plenty of early money for Phil Taylor in our ante-post book but there was a late surge for fellow Potteries star Adrian Lewis at 17/2, 8/1 and 15/2 and we’ve ended up losing well into six figures on the tournament, despite Taylor’s early departure.”
bet365 are 9/2 about Lewis retaining his PDC crown for a third consecutive time, even money that he wins three or more live TV tournaments during the year and 6/4 that losing finalist, and fellow Stoke star, Andy Hamilton, lands TV silverware during the same timeframe.
