Despite starting the Tour de France as favourite for the Green Jersey Mark Cavendish has now fallen quite some way behind Philippe Gilbert and is now the 7/2 second favourite to win the points classification behind Gilbert at 2/5.

William Hill are also offering a match bet between the two and make Cavendish 12/5 to finish ahead of the current leader, who is 3/10 to finish ahead of the Manx Missile.

Hills spokesman Joe Crilly said: "Despite having two stage wins under his belt, Cavendish is in real danger of falling out of contention for the Green Jersey and Philippe Gilbert, who appears to have coped with the mountainous sprints much better than his Manx counterpart."

Thomas Voeckler took the Yellow Jersey off Thor Hushovd on Sunday's stage and he has been cut from 100/1 to 66/1 to win although Andy Schleck is the 11/8 favourite to win this year's Tour. Alberto Contador is 6/4 and Cadel Evans is 7/2. Hills go 1/5 about Voeckler keeping the Yellow Jersey for three or more days and 10/3 that he wears it for two days or fewer.

Points Classification: 2/5 Philippe Gilbert; 7/2 Mark Cavendish; 6/1 Jose Joaquin Rojas; 14/1 Cadel Evans;33/1 Thor Hushovd; 200/1 BAR

King of the Mountains: 3/1 Alberto Contador; 11/2 Andy Schleck; 6/1 Damiano Cunego; 7/1 David Moncoutie; 7/1 Thomas Voeckler; 10/1 Johnny Hoogerland; 14/1 Robert Gesink; 16/1 BAR
