With the 2012 Tour de France route said to favour Bradley Wiggins, William Hill have shortened his odds of winning the competition from 12/1 to 10/1.

Alberto Contador is the Even money favourite at William Will, with Andy Schleck 5/2 and last year’s winner, Cadel Evans, 9/1. 

Mark Cavendish is the 4/7 favourite to win the Green Jersey for a second year in a row and Hills are offering 8/1 that he bags a 2012 double (winning the Green Jersey and an Olympic Gold medal). 

Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly told Bettingpro.com: “Cav is the man everybody was talking about at last year’s Tour and there is bound to be a huge amount of interest in whether he can he can secure a double next year.”
