Coral bookmakers have cut the price of Bradley Wiggins winning the Tour de France.

The Sky team leader finished fourth in 2009, but after a poor race a year later and a fall which ended his hopes in 2011, Wiggins looks to be back to his best this time round.

Wiggins has now been cut to 5-2 (from 3-1), and Coral spokesman Gary Burton told Bettingpro.com: “Reports suggest that Wiggo is in the best condition of his life and anything less than a podium finish would be considered a disappointment.”

Last year’s winner, Cadel Evens, is the other joint favourite to win.

Latest Coral Tour De France Odds:

5-2 (from 3) Bradley Wiggins, Cadel Evans, 5 Andy Schleck, 12 Denis Menchov, 20 Chris Froome, 25  Samuel Sanchez, 28 Alejandro Valverde Belmonte, Vincenzo Nibali, 33 Jurgen Van Den Broeck, Pierre Rolland, Robert Gesink, 40 Frank Schleck, Jani Brajkovic, 50 Bar
