Who will the four semi-finalists of Champions League T20 be? Visit Save For Later Posted by Suneer Chowdhary 20 Sep 2010 Tweet Related Articles See all Champions League T20 news Share it Pin It The Champions League T20 is interestingly poised, with only one out of the four semi-finals slot decided. The remaining three slots should be decided in a matter of the next two or three days as the last five games of the tournament get completed. South Australia from Group B is the only team to have qualified for the Champions League T20 semi-finals. The battle for the other slot in the same group has heated up well between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Highveld Lions. Mumbai Indians and Guyana are out of the tournament. There are two games remaining in the group B, an inconsequential one between South Australia and Guyana, and a very important, virtual knock-out between Bangalore and Lions. The winner of the Lions-Bangalore match will join South Australia in the semi-final from the Group B. In the other group, the fight gets even more interesting. Only one team is out – Central Stags – after losing three out of three. Wayamba have lost two out of two and the manner in which they have played so far, they look good to be knocked out as well. Even if they win both their remaining games, they have a lot of catching up to do with the net run-rate. The three teams fighting it out for the two slots are Victoria, Chennai and Warriors. Victoria have one game to play against Wayamba, while Chennai play Warriors in the last game. If Victoria lose, Chennai and Warriors go through. If Victoria win and Chennai lose, then Victoria and Warriors go through. If Victoria wins, and Chennai also wins, then it boils down to net run rate, which will mean that Chennai will definitely go through given their superior net run-rate. The other slot will go to either Victoria or Warriors, depending on which team has a better net run-rate. Boylesports offers 10/3 for South Australia to win the tournament, while Chennai is at 7/2 (SkyBet) to win it. Bangalore (9/2 at SkyBet) and Warriors are third-favourites (BetFred), while Stan James offer 6/1 for a Victorian win.
