Warriors v Central Stags Champions League T20 2010 at Port Elizabeth, St. George's Park, preview Visit Ladbrokes Save For Later Posted by Suneer Chowdhary 18 Sep 2010 Tweet Related Articles See all Champions League T20 news Share it Pin It The 12th match of the second edition of the Champions League T20 will have the Warriors take on the Central Stags at the St. George’s Park in Port Elizabeth. The Warriors (2/5 at BetFred) have won both their games so far and have looked strong at home. There have been no star performers for them, except the half century by their captain Davey Jacobs against Victoria and some throttling bowling by the likes of Juan Theron and Johan Botha. But as a team, the Warriors have gone about their business rather well and will be favourites against a side which has lost both their games, the Central Stags (9/4 at Blue Square). Jacobs’ (4/1 at SkyBet) half-century apart, it is the consistency of Mark Boucher (13/2 at Coral) that has helped the side. Boucher had gone into the tournament with some lack of form, but he has recovered well to get back into the thick of things. The one other batsman who has gone unnoticed, ostentatiously because of his lack of runs is Colin Ingram (9/2 at Boylesports). Ingram had top-scored in the South African Pro20 tournament and has been getting the starts here. That is why one gets the sense that his day in the tournament may come sooner than later. For the Central Districts the form of Peter Ingram (4/1 at Boylesports) has been worrying. He has scored only six runs in the two innings, and in the process caused much strain to the already fragile middle-order. Jamie How’s (7/2 at Stan James) knock against the Victorians was a saviour, but they need more of this from the likes of Matthew Sinclair (5/1 at Stan James) and Tim Weston (8/1 at SkyBet) – all of whom are expected to bat in the top four. It may also do the side good if they change things around. If not for the personnel, they could at least look at getting someone like a Brendon Diamianti (10/1 at BetFred) up the order and in the first six overs to go after the bowling.
