The Tasmanian Tigers play South Australian Redbacks in the 13th game of the KFC Big Bash T20 at Hobart on Monday.

Interestingly, both teams are at the top of the table with six points from four games and a win here will see the side go through to the knock-out. It is not as if the loss would knock the losing team out of the tournament but with three other teams breathing down the top sides’ neck, things will become difficult.

South Australia (11/10 at Bwin) had not started off too well in the tournament after their first game loss to New South Wales but have come back strongly with three victories in three games. Two of them have been pretty big in margin while triumphing in their last one by ten runs against Queensland.

What is interesting to see is that Daniel Harris, Michael Klinger and foreign import Kieron Pollard are at the number four, five and six positions in the top run-getters this season – all from South Australia. They will be the three to watch out for in this game as well, given their strike-rates.

The Tigers (8/11 at Stan James) have surprised a lot of people including their own fans. Unfortunately for them, Tim Paine will miss the game again because of his international commitments and Jonathon Wells will come in place of him. They will go in as favourites on paper given that it is their home match but against a side which has been as consistent as they have been since last year’s KFC Big Bash T20, it will be stiff going for them.
