Tait ruled out two months due to injury Visit Ladbrokes Save For Later Posted by Suneer Chowdhary 2 Oct 2010 Tweet Related Articles See all Australian Cricket news Share it Pin It Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait has been ruled out of domestic and international cricket for the next two months thanks to an elbow injury. Tait had had to undergo surgery for the painful elbow and will be out of competitive cricket some days. This will mean that Tait will be out of the Australian squad for their series against Sri Lanka and puts his chances of making it to the squad for the English ODIs in jeopardy. With the Aussie selectors expected to announce their squad for the World Cup in December, it remains to be seen whether Tait will make it to the squad. Tait was one of the best bowlers in both, the 2007 edition of the World Cup and the 2010 edition of the ICC World T20. According to the Cricket Australia doctor, Trefor James, Tait underwent the surgery on Friday and “his return to cricket will be determined by the speed of his recovery from surgery,” This also means that Tait will miss out on playing in the new double-innings domestic one-day tournament in Australia. Without him, the South Australians go into the Australian One Day Cup at 6/1 (Boylesports), with Victoria being the favourites at 7/2 (Coral). New South Wales shares that favourites spot with Victoria with Bwin offering 7/2 for their win.
