South Africa and Australia head into Durban on Friday for the third and final One Day International with the series yet to be decided and the bookmaker’s cannot split the two.

South Africa levelled the series on Sunday with an 80-run victory at St George’s Park to set up a mouth-watering series finale on Friday.

In the second ODI South Africa batted first and they ripped into Australia’s bowling line-up with four players moving past 50 as they posted 303-6 from their 50 overs.

Jacques Kallis was the leading scorer with 76, while David Miller (59), Graeme Smith (57) and Jean-Paul Duminy (56) all contributed as the Proteas hammered the Aussies all over the park.

Australia’s response, for once, was less than successful as Morne Morkel ripped through their batsmen with figures of 4-22 as they were skittled out for 223. The only player who could hold his head high was David Warner who managed to hit a decent 74.

With the series on the line the bookmaker’s are finding it difficult to separate the two with Bet365 having both South Africa and Australia at 10/11 to win the match and the series.

Australia will need to improve their batting tenfold if they are to take the win from South Africa and will need to rely on the likes of Shane Watson and Warner to let fly with the willow. Watson can be backed at 7/2 with Victor Chandler to be Australia’s leading scorer, while Warner is 3/1 (BetFred) to lead the way once more.

The Proteas will still be full of confidence after levelling the series and after an amazing display with the bat they have every right to be flying high. Runs specialist Kallis is tipped to be South Africa’s leading run-scorer again at 3/1 (Bet365), while Miller (7/1 Boylesports) and Duminy (5/1 Victor Chandler) will both fancy their chances.

You may have the runs on the board but you also need to take wickets and in Morne Morkel they have a great strike weapon, he is 3/1 (Bet365) to take the most wickets following his four-wicket haul last weekend, while Dale Steyn (11/4 888Sport) will want to be among the headlines once again.

If you fancy a different kind of bet in such an important game in the series how about betting that Australia’s first dismissal will come from a catch – Coral are offering odds of 8/13 that this happens.
