South Africa v Australia 2nd T20I preview and live streaming from Johannesburg

MATCH: South Africa v Australia 2nd T20I
DATE: Sunday, October 16, 2011
TIME: 1430 hours local (1230 hours GMT)
VENUE: Wanderers, Johannesburg

South Africa will bid to save the T20I series when they take on Australia in the second and final T20I at Johannesburg. South Africa v Australia 2nd T20I live streaming is available. Watch and bet on South Africa v Australia 2nd T20I live at bet365 > livestreaming > cricket from 1200 GMT

Past Record:
The two teams have played in seven T20Is, with Australia winning four of them. This includes the previous match, the first of the T20I matches, in which Australia looked both, superior and more well-oiled than their opponents. This was to be expected from a team, which hadn’t played a single international since the end of the World Cup.

South Africa (1/1 at Blue Square) were restricted to 146/7 in the first match, with Patrick Cummins picking up three wickets, before Australia raked up the runs thanks to Shane Watson’s man-of-the-match winning half-century. Australia is 10/11 (Stan James) to make it 2-0.

Team News:
South Africa need an injection of sorts after looking woefully rusty in the opening encounter. Both their opening batsmen, Graeme Smith and Hashim Amla (7/2 at SportingBet) left far too cheaply to cause any impact on the Australian bowling and despite JP Duminy’s fighting half century, not too many others got going.

Full credit then, to the likes of Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Morne Morkel and Johan Botha to stifle the Aussies despite the start they had. However, the target was far too low to cause any undue alarms to Australia and they raced off to complete the win.

Cameron White (6/1 at Blue Square) would be a happy man, to not only win the match, but also contribute with a 28 to the win. Watson’s all-round show (he also scalped a wicket for 26 off his four overs) won him the man of the match award. The good news for Australia is that they won despite the early run-out of Dave Warner – without him scoring a run – and their New South Wales Blues southpaw, is the one player in form.

Cummins obviously created the waves for the Australian bowling but the rather belated debut for Doug Bollinger in this format, also helped in pulling the Proteas back at the start of the innings.

I don’t expect too many changes in the line-up for either side.

Players to look out for
Wanderers should provide a much flatter pitch to bat on and it could be carnage if Warner (7/2 at Ladbrokes) can get going at the top. South Africa will want their captain Hashim Amla to take up the role that Jacques Kallis does well – bat through the innings.

Prediction:
Australia have an upper hand, but beware the South African side, under Gary Kirsten, they will look to make a strong comeback here.
