Cutting took three of those seven wickets to fall before coming back to get rid of the opposition captain. Cutting went on to grab the man of the match award.Earlier, Queensland had been propped by Cutting’s first innings 58 that took them to 282 in the first innings of the game. New South Wales replied with 277 in their first essay, which meant that they had failed to win the points for the first innings lead.Keefe then led the New South Wales to a chance for a win with a four-wicket haul that bowled Queensland out for 218 setting the visitors a target of 224 for a win. Unfortunately, they fell short at the final hurdle by 14 runs. With this win Queensland now have a 100% record, having won all their four matches. They have 24 points from their four games to the second placed Western Australia who have 14. New South Wales have only two points this season.
