The seventh game of the Champions League T20 will have the Mumbai Indians looking for their first win of the tournament as they take on the South Australia at the Kingsmead in Durban.

Mumbai went down to the Lions in the first game of the tournament, while the South Australian side had beaten the Lions in their first game. This means that a win for Mumbai (8/13 at BetFred) in this game will have all the three teams with one win from two games, and with matches against Bangalore and Guyana remaining.

Having said that, if South Australia are able to maintain the form that they had shown in the previous game, and beat Mumbai (6/4 at bet365), then the South Australia side would almost be through to the semi-finals. It would also ensure that Mumbai would be left with only a mathematical probability to go through to the semi-finals.

The reason for Mumbai’s defeat in the previous game was to do with their poor planning and the lack of an extra batsman in the middle order. Sachin Tendulkar’s (2/1 at SkyBet) batting looked out of the top draw, but the same cannot be said about his captaincy. What he will need against the South Australian side on a steamy track at Durban is for someone to take on the mantle of batting with him. Apart from Shikhar Dhawan (5/1 at SkyBet), none of the other batsmen did much of note, and that could also mean that either Saurabh Tiwary (6/1 at Blue Square) or Dwayne Bravo (8/1 at 888Sport) could be called upon.

South Australia were given a rousing start by their batsmen against the Lions. Captain Michael Klinger (7/2 at Ladbrokes) led from the front, while Callum Ferguson (4/1 at Boylesports) gave enough indications that he was ready to be recalled by the Australian selectors. The pair, along with the wicket-keeper Graham Manou (9/2 at Blue Square) will be crucial to the success of their side.

The battle between Shaun Tait and Tendulkar could be the one to watch out for, but when it comes to being the most economical bowler, Lasith Malinga (7/2 at Stan James) is clearly the favourite to do so.

Tips:
Favourites: South Australia (6/4 at bet365)
Top South Australian batsman: Graham Manou (9/2 at Blue Square)
Top Mumbai batsman: Sachin Tendulkar (2/1 at SkyBet)
