The 12th game of the Champions league T20 will see the Mumbai Indians playing the Guyana side from the Caribbean. Both teams have yet to win a single game in the tournament so far, and are languishing at the bottom of the table.

Mumbai (1/8 at Blue Square) lost both their opening games of the tournament. Both were closely fought games, and one felt that poor captaincy and worse fielding were the reasons why they came second in those games. Guyana (15/2 at SportingBet to beat Mumbai) lost to Bangalore, but given the manner in which they played, it is difficult to see how they will overcome the Mumbai bowling attack consisting of the likes of Lasith Malinga and Zaheer Khan.

Mumbai Indians have batted well in this tournament so far. In the previous match, the return to fitness of Saurabh Tiwary (11/2 at BetFred to top-score for his side) and his subsequent 45 was the cornerstone of the Mumbai success. Kieron Pollard’s (9/1 at SkyBet) lusty hitting at the end and Dwayne Bravo’s (14/1 at SkyBet) continuing ability to play those cameos have all helped the Mumbai team. However, Mumbai’s bowling has been an issue.

Sachin Tendulkar (2/1 at Paddy Power) has come under much pressure after his indifferent display of captaincy and he will look to compensate that by getting to a big score. However, one has often seen in Tendulkar’s career; strange captaincy, bad results, ensuing drop in form.

Guyana has played only one match, but the batting in the game against Bangalore was so horrendous that captain Ramnaresh Sarwan (7/2 at Stan James) will need to have a serious look at the line-up. While it is difficult to see too many changes to the playing eleven itself, a shuffle in the batting order could be the need of the hour. Travis Dowlin (4/1 at Blue Square) and some of the other batsmen may have succeeded on the flat tracks of West Indies, but he will have to do a lot more than just swish his bat to be a success on these South African wickets.

A lot has been heard about Jonathon Foo (16/1 at Ladbrokes) and it will not be a bad idea to send him at number 4 or 5 in the order. He is young, and for now, should be fearless enough to take on the opposition bowling.

Tips:
Favourites: Mumbai Indians (1/8 at Blue Square)
Top Mumbai batsman: Saurabh Tiwary (11/2 at BetFred)
Top Guyana batsman: Jonathon Foo (16/1 at Ladbrokes)
