Kieswetter makes it to England squad for ICC World T20 Visit Ladbrokes Save For Later Posted by Suneer Chowdhary 1 Apr 2010 Tweet Related Articles See all Twenty20 World Cup news Share it Pin It Craig Kieswetter displaces Matt Prior as the wicket-keeper of the English side for the ICC World T20 to be played in West Indies later this month. Apart from that, Michael Lumb and Ravi Bopara also make an entry into the 15-member side that fly to West Indies after the ongoing IPL. Kieswetter had impressed everyone with a century in the third ODI of the series against Bangladesh, whereas both, Lumb and Bopara have done reasonably well in the IPL so far. Lumb plays for the Rajasthan Royals, whereas Bopara has already scored a couple of good knocks for the Kings XI Punjab. Apart from the three, Michael Yardy returns back to the side. Yardy is a slow left-arm spinner who can bat in the middle-order. He will share the spinning duties with Graeme Swann and James Tredwell. The pace bowling department consists of the now-fit James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Tim Bresnan, Ryan Sidebottom and Ajmal Shahzad. Jonathon Trott and Joe Denly have both been given the axe. England will play West Indies and Ireland in the first round and are a part of Group D. Sporting Bet offers 1/1 for England to top the group, with West Indies being a close second favourites at 11/10 (Paddy Power). Ireland has made considerable progress as an Associate Nation, but whether that will be enough for them to win the group remains to be seen, as Ladbrokes offers 14/1 for the same. England has never won a World Cup, whether a fifty overs tournament or a T20 one, and they go into the ICC World T20 this year at 12/1 (Boylesport) to win it for the first time.
