South Africa odds cut as Pietersen axed from England squad

South Africa have been cut for the third Test by Ladbrokes.

Following the news that Pietersen has been dropped from the test squad the bookies have reacted by cutting South Africa to 2/1 (from 9/4 at Ladbrokes) whilst pushing England out to 11/4 (from 5/2 at Ladbrokes). The draw remains solid at even money. 

The book is now also open on KP's England future with 2/1 the first price quoted he never plays for the side again. England are subsequently now 11/4 to have lost their world number one test ranking at the end of the test. 

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "We've reacted to the KP news by easing England. Despite the latest controversy we still expect him to turn out for the country again."

Kevin Pietersen had earlier released a video apologising for his conduct over the previous few days but the English board seems to have taken cognizant of the fact that he did not reveal whether or not he had sent disparaging text messages about his teammates to South African players.
