If Stuart Broad is Man of the Match, Ladbrokes will refund losing match bets

After a scare by the West Indies England successfully chased down 191 to take a 1-0 lead and the bookies now quote them as long odds-on at 1/50 for the series, with their opponents at a rather unlikely 50/1 to win the remaining two matches.

The firm also refunded £35,000 in losing match bets to punters as captain Andrew Strauss was the top batsman in the 1st innings, and it's Stuart Broad who could refund losing match bets next should he be named man of the match for the second time in the series.

England head into the match at Trent Bridge as the 2/5 favourites with the Windies chalked up at 7/1. The draw can be backed at 10/3. With one win in the bag the 3-0 series win is heavily favoured by punters, which is now odds-on at 8/11 (from 7/4).

Ladbrokes spokesperson Jessica Bridge told Bettingpro.com: “Strauss delivered the goods and we fancy Broad to make us stump up again on his home ground. Punters have lumped on for the 3-0 whitewash to kick start England's summer in style.”
