Sky Bet have made England 2/5 to win this Ashes series after Jonathan Trott’s century helped steer them to 444-5 at the end of the second day’s play.

Having been bowled for a meagre 98, Australia’s bowlers showed strong intent in the morning session by taking the wickets of Cook (82) and Strauss (69) to leave the tourists on 170-2.

However, England – Pietersen and Trott in particular – dug in and led England to 262 before Siddle bowled Pietersen lbw. Disappointing knocks from Bell and Collingwood were tempered by Prior’s unbeaten 75, leaving England 346 ahead with five first-inning wickets still in hand.

Sky Bet make England an astonishing 1/100 to retain the Ashes and 2/5 outright (from 4/9), while they’re 1/8 (from 1/7) to win the third test match. Trott, who is unbeaten on 141, is 6/5 to be the next England batsman to fall, with Prior 8/13.
