Henry de Bromhead insists a decision is yet to be made as to which race Loosen My Load (20/1 in Betfred’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle market) will run in at the Cheltenham Festival.

The six-year-old has lost just one of his five starts over hurdles and connections must decided whether to run him in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle or the Neptune Novices Hurdle next month.

De Bromhead, who also trains Cheltenham cross-country hopes Sizing Europe and Sizing Australia, says he is “very pleased” with how Loosen My Load has progressed and that he will not race again before the Festival.

The trainer revealed: “We are trying to get him ready for Cheltenham and he’ll be going straight there now. He’s entered in both the two-mile and the two-mile-five novices’ hurdles so we’ll just see what will happen.”

Loosen My Load (20/1 to win the Neptune Novices Hurdle) won at Cheltenham back in November, in the Grade 2 Sharp Novices’ Hurdle, and has been given a break since then.
