Irish Champion Hurdle winner set to be favourite at Cheltenham

Sunday's Irish Champion Hurdle winner Solwhit is 6-4 with Coral to start favourite for the Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle, a position he currently holds with the Barking firm. Zaynar, the 4-1 second favourite, is 13-8 to be sent off favourite in March, ahead of Go Native, 4-1 to be market leader on the day.

Corals David Stevens told bettingpro:

"We were impressed enough by Solwhit's victory to move him to the head of our Champion Hurdle betting after Sunday's race, and at this stage believe he will still occupy that position when the tapes go up at Prestbury Park in March,"

Coral are also betting on which horse will start favourite for the Gold Cup, and go 1-3 Kauto Star and 11-4 Denman.

Elsewhere, Tricky Trickster remains 16-1 favourite with Coral for the John Smith's Grand National, following his second place at Fontwell this afternoon.
