Royal & SunAlliance Chase: Hobbs Hill introduced at 16/1

Pete Culshaw - 30 Nov 2007
Stan James cintroduced Hobbs Hill into its Royal & SunAlliance Chase list at 16-1 after his battling success over Silverburn in the Grade 2 novices' chase at Newbury.

The Wantage-based firm cut Charlie Egerton's gelding to 25-1 from 50s for the Irish Independent Arkle Trophy, believing he could go down one of two novice routes at the Festival in March.

Neil Morrice, media and on-course representative for Stan James said: "Hobbs Hill is probably at his best over today's two and a half mile trip which presents his trainer with a dilemma concerning which race to choose at Cheltenham. He had the speed to make almost every yard this afternoon, but also displayed a stubborn streak to reassert which would serve him well over a longer distance."

Stan James left Silverburn unchanged at 16-1 for the Royal & SunAlliance Chase
