He hasn't got a massive gap to bridge anyway."I don't think the pace was the issue as it was three miles around Kempton and he's an Arkle winner so he should have been able to go the gallop."Obviously he wasn't quite right for a month or six weeks before the race and maybe he just needed it a bit for his confidence.
