Joe Lively showed his affinity for Cheltenham again this afternoon when notching up his second victory from two starts around the Cotswolds track.
 
The Colin Tizzard-trained novice took the scalp of favourite Imperial Commander, who did not appear to stay the stiff 3-mile plus trip. 
 
Blue Square immediately installed Joe Lively as 14/1 joint third-favourite, behind long-time 10/1 chance Tidal Bay, and the 12/1 priced Hobb's Hill who impressed greatly at Newbury a fortnight ago.
 
Kate Miller, PR for Blue Square, said: ''This was a fairly succinct victory for Joe Lively, in a race where he was rated in both the betting, and ratings, to be significantly behind both Imperial Commander, and Ornais.
 
He was well beaten at Wincanton by Ornais, but seemed to relish both the ground, and track today to impressively reverse the form. With the Royal and SunAlliance not generally being a race that attracts a large field,  he'd be a strong contender based on today's performance.''
