Paddy Power make Imperial Commander 7/2 to win the 2011 Cheltenham Gold Cup ahead of his gallop at Kempton before racing on Saturday.

Paddy Power is offering all new customers a free £100 bet on Imperial Commander winning the 2011 Cheltenham Gold Cup.  Sign up with the firm through Bettingpro and win £350 if he goes on to win the race.

The reigning champion is on course to return to Cheltenham to defend his crown after working at Warwick last week and trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies has decided to put him through his paces over two miles before the weekend’s card gets underway.

Imperial Commander has not been seen racing since he won the Betfair Chase on his seasonal reappearance and the superstar was forced to miss the King George VI Chase through injury.

Twiston-Davies explained:  "Things have gone really well since Imperial Commander went to Warwick. He worked again this morning, just a gentle one at home, and he's working on Saturday.”

Meanwhile, 2010 Champion Hurdle second Khyber Kim will gallop fifteen minutes before his stablemate as he too puts the finishing touches to his Festival preperations.

"Khyber Kim is very good and is on his way back to Cheltenham," Twiston-Davies added.

Amy Starkey, Kempton Park's managing director, added: "Racing Post Chase day is one of our two showpiece occasions in the calendar. Having the Cheltenham Gold Cup winner hero galloping over two miles will be a special bonus for our spectators."
