Enda Bolger looking to win this 2011 Cheltenham Festival race for the fifth time

After the excitement of the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, the Arkle and the Champion Hurdle on the first day of the Cheltenham Festival, it is then time for something completely different.

The Cross Country Handicap Chase is run over the cross-country course at Cheltenham with 32 obstacles to be cleared and Garde Champetre is favourite to repeat triumphs in 2008 and 2009.

You can back the Enda Bolger horse at 9/2 with Paddy Power and Nina Carberry is likely to be in the saddle again. At the age of 12, it could be the horse’s final fling in this race.

A New Story was the winner last year and the Michael Hourigan-trained horse is now 13-years-old, with Paddy Power offering odds of 14/1.

L’Ami always seems to be in the shake-up after the 32 obstacles have been cleared and can be backed at 13/2 with Stan James, while Lacdoudal is available at 8/1 (bet365) and Sizing Australia is on offer at 8/1 (Paddy Power).
