Denman has shortened to 6/4 from 15/8 with the sponsors Totesport for the totesport Gold Cup following Saturday's injury scare to favourite Kauto Star.

Spokesman Damian Walker said: "We reopened our totesport Gold Cup book on Sunday morning but have shortened second favourite Denman to 6/4 from 15/8.

"Obviously it is not ideal for ante-post supporters of Kauto Star and now there must be a very real chance that he may not even start favourite when the two line up at Cheltenham on March 14th."
