Coral is quoting Forpadydeplasterer at 7-1 with a run for the Queen Mother Champion Chase, after trainer Tom Cooper confirmed there was a chance last year's Arkle winner could make next month's Festival after all.

The star had been ruled out of Cheltenham contention after being reported lame earlier in the season, however, the eight-year-old, who finished second in this year’s Tingle Creek, is now facing a serious workout ahead of next month’s showpiece

"He got a stone bruise that held him up for a week or two but he's cantering away at the moment," said Cooper.

"There might be a small chance he could make Cheltenham. We will do a piece of work with him on Friday and take it from there."

Coral’s David Stevens admits that the bookies are taking no chances with the Irish raider: "Forpadydeplasterer had been a 9-1 shot for the Champion Chase prior to the news that he was lame earlier this month, and although he's far from certain to make the Festival, the form of his Arkle win means he could not be ruled out.  By offering him with a run, any punters who fancy his chances will not lose out if he does miss the race.”
