The evergreen eleven-year-old jumped for fun at the head of the field and had the majority of his rivals under pressure as the field turned for home and whilst Long Run chased hard, he couldn’t reel in Paul Nicholls’ gelding, who ran out the one-and-a-quarter length winner. “Kauto Star belied his age with a breathtaking fifth success in the King George and only the bravest of punters would bet against him landing a third Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup at the Festival in March,” Betfred spokesman George Primarolo explained to Bettingpro. Kauto Star’s victory gave no respite to the bookmakers, who were left reeling at Kempton after the first four favourites won, including the well-backed pair of Grands Crus and Binocular. “Any chance of it being a bumper Boxing Day for the bookies evaporated after both Grands Crus and Binocular landed the spoils and Kauto Star’s record-breaking fifth victory in the King George means an estimated £5million will have been handed over to punters industry-wide,” said Betfred spokesman George Primarolo.Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup – sponsors bet: 5/2 Long Run, 4 (from 10) Kauto Star, 10 (from 16) Grands Crus, 12 Quito de la Roque, 16 Captain Chris, Rubi Light, 20 Time For Rupert, Weird Al, 25 Diamond Harry, 33 Jessies Dream, 40 Bostons Angel, Burton Port, What A Friend. ¼ 1-2-3 Read our Betfred review Get your £50 free bet at Betfred now Like Like Post to wall 168 Reads All Cheltenham Festival News Recent Cheltenham Festival Articles 2013 Gold Cup odds - Flemenstar 14/1 for Cheltenham09 Apr 2012Top Irish novice chaser, Flemenstar, is 14-1 (from 20-1) with Coral for next year's Cheltenham Gold Cheltenham Gold Cup 2013 odds – Sir Des Champs favourite to win16 Mar 2012The revised Cheltenham Gold Cup odds for 2013 have Sir Des Champs favourite despite Synchronised’s William Hill celebrate £1 million win in Cheltenham Gold Cup16 Mar 2012William Hill delighted with the Cheltenham Gold Cup result, which saw Kauto Star pulled up and Long Cheltenham Gold Cup 2013 odds - Synchronised 6/1 to retain title16 Mar 2012Synchronised won the 2012 Cheltenham Gold Cup and it is now 6/1 that Jonjo O'Neill's charge retains 2012 Cheltenham Gold Cup race replay - Synchronised wins Gold Cup16 Mar 2012The 2012 Cheltenham Gold Cup was won by Synchronised under a perfect ride from champion jockey afte Watch the Cheltenham Gold Cup on your phone16 Mar 2012The Cheltenham Gold Cup can be watched on your phone at 3.20pm on Friday More Stories Recent Articles 21:15 Suzanne & Nigel Wedding Anniversary Handicap25 May 201221:15 Suzanne & Nigel Wedding Anniversary Handicap 21:05 Ellery Hill Rating Related Maiden Stakes25 May 201221:05 Ellery Hill Rating Related Maiden Stakes 20:55 'Pudley Hog' Intermediate Open NH Flat Race25 May 201220:55 'Pudley Hog' Intermediate Open NH Flat Race 20:05 Pin Point Recruitment Handicap25 May 201220:05 Pin Point Recruitment Handicap 19:55 blayze-unguem.com Handicap Hurdle25 May 201219:55 blayze-unguem.com Handicap Hurdle 19:45 Pentland Land Rover Handicap25 May 201219:45 Pentland Land Rover Handicap More Stories Tags 2012 Cheltenham Festival Market Movers, 2012 Cheltenham Gold Cup Odds, Cheltenham Gold Cup Latest Betting
