The betting for the 2012 Cheltenham Festival is beginning to take shape and reigning champions Hurricane Fly, Sizing Europe, Big Buck’s and Long Run are all proving to be very popular in the ante post markets.

All four will be looking to defend their crowns in the feature races on each day of the meeting and you can register with bet365 and get odds of 54.12/1 that all four manage to make it back-to-back victories at Prestbury Park.

Despite not being seen on the racecourse yet this season, Hurricane Fly remains a warm favourite to win the Champion Hurdle and after trainer Willie Mullins said he was “absolutely delighted” with the Irish raider’s latest piece of work, his followers have every reason to keep the faith.  An emphatic winner of all of his races last season, Hurricane Fly will be incredibly tough to beat if his master trainer can get him to Cheltenham in one piece.

On the Wednesday of the meeting Sizing Europe will be looking the win at his third consecutive Cheltenham Festival when he lines up in the Queen Mother Champion Chase.  Henry de Bromhead’s multiple Grade One winner looked imperious on his latest start in the Tingle Creek at Sandown and he clearly thrives around Cheltenham.  With Big Zeb and Finian’s Rainbow also being aimed at the race it is sure to be an absolute thriller, although Sizing Europe will clearly be the one to beat.

Most racing fans will see Big Buck’s as their banker of the meeting when he lines up in the World Hurdle on the Thursday and odds-on punters will be looking to get stuck into Paul Nicholls’ legendary staying hurdler.  Unbeaten over hurdles and in search of his fourth consecutive World Hurdle success, Big Buck’s layers will be hoping that Oscar Whisky finally gives the champion a test in a race that currently looks to be at his mercy.

Despite losing to Kauto Star in the Betfair Chase and then the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day, Long Run remains the favourite for the 2012 Cheltenham Gold Cup and Nicky Henderson’s French import is sure to be cherry ripe when he defends his crown on Friday 16th March.  There are sure to be plenty of racing fanatics keeping the faith with Kauto Star, but the wise money could be with Long Run with his younger legs appearing to relish the trip and testing nature of last year’s race.

Place a £10 bet with bet365 on Hurricane Fly, Sizing Europe, Big Buck’s and Long Run all to win at the 2012 Cheltenham Festival and win £541.20 if they manage to do exactly that.
