Nigel Twiston-Davies’ nine-year-old beat all bar Binocular at the 2010 Cheltenham Festival and looked below his best when he finished 13 lengths adrift of the Champion Hurdler in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton.

The superstar landed the Aintree Hurdle at last year’s Grand National meeting and Twiston-Davies explained:  "He's fine and he'll now go straight for the Champion Hurdle.

"Everything's gone all right with him since his run at Kempton. He won't run again before he has another try at the big one."

Binocular remains the ante post favourite for this year’s Champion Hurdle but the opposition looks formidable with the likes of Hurricane Fly, Menorah and Peddlers Cross all looking to take the hurdling crown from Nicky Henderson’s stable star.
