Champion Hurdle 2009 - Binocular 11/8 for Champion Hurdle

Former Champion Hurdler Sublimity was cut for the 2009 renewal from 16s to 12/1 by Stan James in the aftermath of his Grade 1 success at Leopardstown this afternoon but connections of favourite Binocular will not have been too concerned by events across the Irish Sea and the Nicky Henderson four-year-old has been cut from 6/4 to 11/8. Sizing Europe pulled too hard for his own good and is out to 8s from 6s. He has much to prove.

Diamond Harry was most impressive in the Blue Square sponsored Challow Hurdle and is now 3s from 5s for the Ballymore Properties' Novices' Hurdle and Pride Of Dulcote is now 4s from 6s for the Albert Bartlett given trainer Nick Williams confirmed the 2m 5f contest would be the unbeaten gelding's Cheltenham target.

Also at Newbury Gone To Lunch was cut from 20s to 16s for the Sun Alliance Chase and unbeaten Dave's Dream has been cut from 25s to 20/1 for the Arkle Trophy despite the fact that he has yet to jump a fence in public and won a Hurdle this afternoon. Higgy's Boy made an impressive Hurdling debut for Nicky Henderson and was introduced into the Triumph Hurdle betting at 16/1 whilst Novice Chase winner Planet Of Sound is 20s from 25s for the Arkle. 

At Musselburgh Howard Johnson's Red Maloney was given a quote of 20/1 for the Supreme Novices' when easily landing the odds in the Novice Hurdle.
